Our Values
La Familia (Family) represents the nucleus of the Latino community. The family provides a safe, loving and nurturing environment for individual growth and development. It is within la familia that we instill our rich cultural values and traditions.
Los Niños (Children) represent our future and are the vibrant focal point of the Latino family and community. Every niño has the right to a safe and healthy environment and access to all educational opportunities.
La Educacíon (Education) is the essential element to the full participation of Latinos in American society. Participation in educational opportunities helps to ensure economic prosperity, security and empowerment.
La Cultura (Culture) is the corazón (heart) of the Hispanic community. The rich cultural Latino heritage is rooted deep in history and is preserved and passed on to future generations through our values, customs, music, food and language. Hispanics in the Untied States enjoy and celebrate in a bicultural environment.
La Salud (Health) is a key element of the well being of our society. The mental, physical, and emotional health of Hispanics is essential for a vibrant community.
Our Principles
Collaboration, building trusting partnership with diverse, committed stakeholders who share our goals. Potential stakeholders include public/private sector leaders in education and health, as well as individual donors, corporations and foundations.
Inclusiveness, achieving diversity in all aspects of our work.
